If you happen to be going through xanax withdrawal it may not be a bad idea to go to a drug rehab for help to get through it. Here are a couple ideas to help you decide:
One needs to consider their safety there is danger in xanax withdrawal; for example, you are susceptible to having seizures, don’t think just because you have never had one that it can not happen. My whole point here is that anyone can have a seizure when detoxing from xanax. Now if you decide to go to drug rehab to detox then you will be given medications that will remove the risk of having one. Plus you will be looked after by a medical staff for any other problems as well.
Trying to beat xanax addiction at home runs a relatively high risk of relapse but if you go to rehab you will at the very least have a couple weeks clean. This is an enormous advantage because you will be starting to think clearly again. Where as if you are at home detoxing from xanax and become tempted to use you will not be thinking clearly and probably relapse before you are half way through.

Now if you go to drug rehab for addiction not only will you be able to be withdrawal from xanax rather comfortably but you will have support of the other people there who are addicted to drugs just like you are. They are trying to stop using xanax and my point is that you will be able to help each other. You will more than likely attend 12 step meetings where you will learn how others are staying clean one day at a time. Plus you will have therapy and the therapist will share some ideas on how to avoid returning to using drugs again. You will also attend group therapy and watch recovery videos. We need others to help us to get clean and remain clean. Rehab is the starting point for this!
