How to beat heroin withdrawal

by admin on September 14, 2009

I am reasonably certain by the amount of people out there looking for ways to how to beat heroin withdrawal that this post may be of interest to them.

OK are you really certain that you are ready to quit heroin? One has to make a firm commitment that they are sick and tired of being beat down and torn out of the frame. I got so sick and tired of waking up sick every morning and having to go through the same old routine of trying to get one more. I placed myself and my family in danger more than once. If we really want to beat heroin withdrawal we will have to take action and once we get clean and want to stay clean we will have to take more action.

Now I think a great way to beat heroin withdrawal would be to go to heroin treatment. There we can be detoxed from heroin medically using drugs like suboxone. There is no need to fear the heroin withdrawal because these drugs will make it a breeze to kick heroin.

Trust me I have been there and done that I do not send people out to do things I have not done or been through and if I have not I will tell you so right off the bat and I believe heroin treatment is a great way to go.

After your detox its on to residential treatment where you will learn many things so you don’t have to go through this again. I will add here that it took me more than once to get it right so my suggestion to everyone is to never quit trying because one never knows when the miracle will happen.

Ok in residential you will attend lectures, watch recovery orientated videos, have individual counseling, and attend 12 step meetings. This is all great stuff to get the tools one needs to stay clean but again when you get out you will have to use them and it will take action on your part. I would write out and exit plan and include all the things you are willing to do for your recovery. I think by now you get the general idea what is necessary to beat heroin withdrawal.

Good luck
